These modules include PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader., Insomniac I-Lock, Sync, and EasyCodeA mobile application for tenants which allows them to use their phone or tablet for access in to or out of a facility. Also shows the tenant activity and alarms associated with their unit(s). Requires StorLogix 5.0 or above..

To see what modules are enabled, in the StorLogix program select the "Help" menu, and then "About StorLogix". The following window will be displayed:

A list of your enabled modules is in the "Features" section.

Note: Your version numbers and other information may not be the same as what this screen shows. This is for example only.

In StorLogix, your exit keypad can be set to one of 5 different modes. These modes control what times the exit keypad will allow a tenant to leave the facility.

  • Late exit not allowed.
    • The exit keypad will stop allowing access at the same time the entrance keypad does.
  • Timed late exit.
    • The exit keypad will allow late exit for a specific time period (Grace Period) after the entrance keypad stops working.
  • Counted late exit.
    • The exit keypad will allow a specific number (Count Limit) of late exits by a particular tenant.
  • Timed & Counted late exit.
    • A combination of the two previous settings.
  • Free late exit.
    • The exit keypad will work 24 hours a day.

To set this mode follow these steps:

  1. In StorLogix open the Settings menu.
  2. Select 17: Falcon XTHardware controller used in conjunction with StorLogix software to control AI Devices at a site..
  3. In the lower left corner of the window that opens, make sure it says "Step 1 of 4". If it does not, click on the Advanced button.
  4. Select the controller you wish to change from the list, then click Next 3 times to advance to "Step 4 of 4".

  • At least one APEX keypad w/ magnetic card reader installed at the facility and connected to the Falcon XTHardware controller used in conjunction with StorLogix software to control AI Devices at a site..
  • The PC must have a high speed always on connection to the internet.
  • The Syrasoft login information for your facility. (VendorID and LocationID, obtained from Syrasoft)

    DLL Installation:

There are two files that are provided for the interface.

  • LSPayXpress.dll
  • LSpayXpress.dll.config

These two files are placed into the folder “C:\Program Files\PTI Integrated Systems\LogixServerLogixServer controls the transfer of information between the Falcon XT, the Event Log database and the StorLogix database. Later versions of this program run as a service and have a GUI called "Dashboard" which can handle connections to multiple sites and databases.” on the PC. (On 64 bit systems, this will be “C:\Program Files (x86)\PTI Integrated Systems\LogixServerLogixServer controls the transfer of information between the Falcon XT, the Event Log database and the StorLogix database. Later versions of this program run as a service and have a GUI called "Dashboard" which can handle connections to multiple sites and databases.”). If there is an existing LSPayXpress.dll file in the folder, replace it with the new one. It will be necessary to shut down StorLogix and the LogixServer program while replacing this file. If your system uses "LogixServer DashboardLogixServer controls the transfer of information between the Falcon XT, the Event Log database and the StorLogix database. Later versions of this program run as a service and have a GUI called "Dashboard" which can handle connections to multiple sites and databases.", you will also need to stop the LogixServer service.
Configuration:

Use the Notepad program on your PC to open the “LSpayXpress.dll.config” file.

This file contains the following information for the facility:

  • Setting “VendorID” identifies the organization your site belongs to. This is assigned by Syrasoft.
  • Setting “LocationID” identifies your particular site in your organization. This is assigned by Syrasoft.
  • Setting “LogLevel” is used to determine the detail of log messages that are written to the log file. Unless otherwise directed, this should not be changed.
  • Setting “TestMode” determines if the credit card is processed. “true” means that credit cards are not processed, and “false” means that they are. Set this as needed. Make sure that this setting is in all lower case letters.
  • Setting “MaxDaysOverdue” is the maximum number of days you want a tenant to be overdue and still be able to use the keypad for payment. This generally should be the number of days you wait before overlocking the unit.

Edit each of the items located after the “value” tag for each setting. DO NOT change any of the other information or formatting in the file.

After you have changed the settings, save the file and close it. Once the file has been closed, restart any programs or services that were stopped.
Storlogix Setup:

AI DeviceAccess Interface Device. A general name referring to all PTI Keypads, Multiplexers, Relay Boards, and Wiegand Protocol Devices. In previous PTI systems these were occasionally referred to as remotes or remote devices. Setup:

  1. In the Storlogix program, open the “Setup” menu and select item #16 “AI DeviceAccess Interface Device. A general name referring to all PTI Keypads, Multiplexers, Relay Boards, and Wiegand Protocol Devices. In previous PTI systems these were occasionally referred to as remotes or remote devices. Properties”.
  2. Select the device that will be used to make payments and then click on “Edit”. Typically this will be the entrance keypad into the facility, or it could be a keypad that is installed outside the office door specifically used to make payments.
  3. The device “Type” should be listed as “Apex – Mag Stripe Reader”.
  4. Click on the button labeled “Advanced”, located in the lower left corner of the screen.
  5. Click on “Next” until you reach screen "4 of 6". At the bottom of this screen the option “Used to accept PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. Payments” should be checked.
  6. Click “Next” until you reach screen 6, and then click on “Done”.

    User Setup:

All tenants that are to use PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. must be designated as such. This can be checked by selecting a user from the user list and editing their information. At the bottom of screen #3 is the option box “Authorized to use PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. which must be checked.

Note that for a user to be able to use PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader., their information must come into the Storlogix database through the accounting system interface.

PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. Operation:

When a tenant that is enabled to use PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. enters their code at a keypad that is also set up to use PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader., then the keypad will display the following message on its LCD screen.

“Please wait while we retrieve your account balance…”

The PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. DLL will contact the Syrasoft payment server to obtain the balance for that users account. This may take several seconds. Note that this balance will include all units that this user is assigned to, plus any late fees.

If the user has a balance due on their account, this will be displayed to them on the following screen:

       “Pay minimum due of”
       “XXX.XX? ”
       “Paid to XX/XX/XXXX”
       “* - more, # - OK, 0 - cancel”

The user can press the * key to go on to the pay in advance screen, # to accept to pay the minimum due, or 0 to cancel the operation.

If the user has a credit balance on the account, it will be figured into the total amount.

If the user has no balance due or a credit, they will be shown a screen that asks if they want to pay in advance.

       “No Balance Due”
       “Pay in Advance?”
       “* = Yes # = No”

Note that if the user has a credit amount greater than the amount to pay 1 month in advance, they will not be able to use the keypad for payment.

Selecting the pay in advance option will display the total for 1 month in advance.

“Pay 1 Month balance of “
       “XXX.XX”
“Paid to date: xx/xx/xx” (Will show the current paid to date for the unit.)
       “* - more, # - OK, 0 - cancel”

Note: The Syrasoft interface will only allow up to one month to be paid in advance.

Canceling at any point will cause the access system to go ahead and use the users code to open the gate or door (if equipped).

Selecting the # button at the Pay Balance or Pay in Advance screen will display the request to swipe the users credit card.

After the card has been swiped, the user will be prompted to enter their ZIP code used for billing the card.

The PayXpressFunctionality of the StorLogix software, which allows a tenant to pay their rent at the keypad using a mag-stripe reader. DLL will then contact Syrasoft again, with a request to pay the unit. Either a success message or a fail message will be displayed on the LCD screen. In either event, the code will then be processed and the user allowed entry into the facility (if the keypad is set up for this, and they are not delinquent as a result of a failed payment).

When you see an input changing status but not the UnitAn individual space or room that can be rented to a user and is generally off limits to other users., this indicates the unit does not have the mux/channel assigned to it.

  • In StorLogix, select the Setup menu, and then the selection #15: MuxDoor Alarm Multiplexers take multiple inputs from individual door contacts and convert them to a single output back to the controller. Camera Multiplexers are similar in that they take multiple inputs from different cameras and create a single output back to the recorder. and ChannelIndividual input point on a multiplexer, Apex keypad, or XT that allows a door alarm sensor or contact to be connected to the system. One channel equals one door.
