Our History
PTI Security Systems
In May of 2016, Franklin Young took over the position of CEO for PTI Security Systems, and Jeff Flowers became the new COO. PTI Security Systems is still the worldwide leader in access control and security solutions for the self storage industry. To date, there are more than 35,000 installations of PTI products in self storage facilities in 30+ countries.
Chamberlain Access Solutions
Chamberlain Access Solutions (CAS) was formed by The Chamberlain Group, Inc. in mid to late 2008 after acquiring both PTI Integrated Systems and Digitech International. CAS joined the two former companies under the leadership and direction of Dave Mack. CAS was responsible for the developing the Overlock (now ILock) system for self-storage along with several updates to existing products.
PTI Integrated Systems
Established in 1979, PTI became a worldwide leader in developing and manufacturing complete solutions for access control and security to customers. PTI was previously owned by Lance Comstock and provided hardware and software solutions to targeted industries. The Chamberlain Group, Inc. acquired PTI Integrated Systems in late 2007. Self storage customers recognized PTI’s controllers, APEX, VP keypads and software, as complete end to end solutions to integrate the latest technology for access control, security, video integration, wireless and TCP/IP.
Digitech International
For more than 20 years, Digitech was a self storage industry leader in developing and marketing access control and security systems worldwide. Digitech was acquired by The Chamberlain Group in early 2008. Branded products include automatic gates and keypads, video surveillance and recording systems, door alarms, site graphics, and on site communications systems.
